Daily Fantasy Premier League GW24: Hot picks

Midweek round in Premier League! It all starts with four matches at 20:45 CET on Tuesday, closely followed by two additional matches at 21:00. Consequently, a lot of line-ups to check before you can submit our teams, and we know you love that!

All ten matches are included in the big tournaments this time. That means plenty of options for your optimal starting eleven.

Will Higuain start?

After months of underwhelming performances by Giroud and Morata, Chelsea finally have a good alternative up front. Although, we are not sure about the form of GONZALO HIGUAIN (10.8M). He only scored once in the last 10 games of AC Milan before Chelsea picked him up on a loan move in the January transfer window. His peak season, in terms of goal scoring was the 2015/16 season, when he netted 36 times for Napoli. Since then, the 31 year old’s numbers has dropped for every year. In the first half of this season for Milan, he scored only 6 times. It remains to be seen if he can help end Chelsea’s goal scoring drought. On Wednesday Chelsea face Bournemouth, a team in very good form. We think Chelsea may find it more difficult to break down the locals, than the bookmakers odds seem to predict. Again, at the time of writing, it is unclear whether Higuain will start the match. He will for sure get some playing time.

Manchester City on track again

Manchester City seems to be back in form, after having been involved in a couple of uncharacteristic losses. Now their winning streak in the Premier League contains respectable four matches, we see no reason to doubt their chances against Newcastle. We think they have a clear advantage over other candidates like Arsenal and Manchester United, as both those teams will have a tough FA Cup fixture on Sunday (against each other!). Manchester City on the other hand have had soft matches on their schedule lately, playing Huddersfield, Burton and Burnley. As usual, LEROY SANE (14.4M) and RAHEEM STERLING (14.6M) are the two best candidates. Both are likely to be in Pep’s starting XI, which is always a bit uncertain. This time we can check the line-ups, fortunately. We recommend looking for GABRIEL JESUS (12.8M), which could be put up front. It seems to us he is in a better form than SERGIO AGUERO (13.8M). KEVIN DE BRUYNE (13.3M) could be worth a punt as well.  Leroy Sane perhaps looking like the best captain material from we stand, but obviously, there are several options. MOHAMED SALAH (15.3M) probably will be the most popular captain. Perhaps he can score more points than Sane in this round, but we are not so sure.

Sane or Salah as captain? We choose Sane this time.

How about Brighton?

Brighton have two straight losses, but they are in fact in very good form. Their performance against Manchester United was surprisingly good, but we already noted positive tendencies from Brighton in the previous matches. Playing away to Fulham, Brighton will not be a big favorite amongst the fantasy managers, so perhaps worth a shot in an effort to get off the beaten track. GLENN MURRAY (7.3M) usually is the first Brighton player to consider. He has not impressed in the last two matches, but then again the opposition has been extremely tough. DAVY PRÖPPER (6.8M) was Brighton’s best player at Old Trafford and served the assist to the goal that PASCAL GROSS (7.2M) scored. Pröpper will no doubt be the one that the fewest fantasy managers will pick.

A long-shot defense

This time we will gamble more than usual, and recommend defenders from Huddersfield. They are facing Everton, and while that seems like a tough task, we have seen them on several occasions playing better football than the results seem to indicate. Additionally, Everton are not in great form. Huddersfield’s big problem is the lack of goal getters, so it makes sense to look towards their defenders. CHRISTOPHER SCHINDLER (4.4M), CHRIS LÖWE (4.6M) and TOM SMITH (3.8M) all are priced in the low end of the scale. Please check the line-ups before submitting your team though, as the Huddersfield defense is a bit tricky to predict.

Good luck!
