Ahead of Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 5 and our 50.000 Weekly Monster, here’s three differentials to consider. Choosing a couple of low ownership players that return some fantasy points can really help you to leapfrog your rivals.
Adrian vs Newcastle (H)
Adrian provides a cheap and budget route into the Liverpool backline. They finally clinched their first clean sheet of the season last time out and more could be on the horizon. Liverpool have been unlucky to concede in their other Premier League games and Adrian should be gaining in confidence now to provide that much needed stability: he’s providing 2+ saves per game. Newcastle are particularly shy in front of goal, scoring just three goals this season.
Gylfi Sigurdsson vs Bournemouth (A)
After a steady start, Everton have finally managed to string together some more convincing displays from an attacking perspective. Sigurdsson tends to be at the heart of the Toffees attack, contributing crosses, set pieces and penalties. He got an assist last time out and will be looking to build on that when they visit Bournemouth. The Cherries are struggling at the back, conceding on average two goals per game. The potential is all there for the Icelander.
Sebastian Haller vs Aston Villa (A)
Haller retains his spot in our differential selections, creeping under that 10% ownership threshold, despite scoring three goals in his last two games. West Ham have plenty of threat going forwards, with the Frenchman central to the majority of their attacking output. Things are aligning here: Aston Villa have conceded the most shots this season (77), while Haller has six shots on target. He could finish the gameweek with a bang in the Monday Night Football.
