Monster Preview for the German MIDWEEK Monster [Tuesday] €25.000 GTD

Only 2 days after the last matchday of the Bundesliga was finished, the next one already starts.

On Tuesday there will be 4 fixtures, on Wednesday another 5.

This matchday will of course be outshone by the duel of Dortmund against Bayern, which is also the match that is gonna kick off this 25.000€ tournament at Fanteam on Tuesday.

In this huge preview i want to dive into a deep analysis for this 25.000€ tournament and i want to share my opinion of the most interesting teams and players based on various statistics.

But now let us begin, i hope you enjoy my article.

Pursuit

The tournament this Tuesday will be played in Pursuit format. This means that there will be no budget problems, but at the end of the tournament you will receive bonus points the more budget you have left.

More precisely, there is half a point for every 1 million in budget that is left at the end.

So it can be worthwhile if you attach special importance to value for your money, while building your teams.

Overview

First of all let’s have a look at all 4 matches of this tournament:

We only know the starting lineup of Dortmund – Munich before this tournament starts, because the other 3 matches are starting 2 hours later.

The matches on Tuesday are extremely balanced by Bundesliga standards.

The 4 favourites have a chance of winning between 48% and 55%, their 4 opponents also have a balanced 22% to 26% chance of winning.

The matches are expected to be rather goal-rich, all 8 teams have a chance of scoring a goal above 70%.

This is important to notice. The German Bundesliga is very rich in goals compared to other leagues in Europe.

3,25 goals per match is a huge value, especially compared to other big leagues in Europe.

Especially on this Tuesday, maybe you shouldn’t put too much focus on defenders

Now it’s time to look at the players, and not only at the teams.

First of all we look at the defensive, then we look at the offensive.

Fanteam price means the average price for the expected line ups.

Defensive

Munich is very expensive in defense with only 20% probability of a clean sheet.

Freiburg for example has only 4% less probability, but an almost 3M cheaper average price on Fanteam.

Leverkusen, Gladbach and Frankfurt also seem to be much more interesting for the defense than Munich.

Dortmund is also way too expensive with 7.1M and the lowest probability for a clean sheet.

Offensive

In the offensive, both Munich and Dortmund are looking very different compared to the defensive.

36% probability to score at least 3 goals and 12.4M as average price is fair, same as Dortmund’s 21% and 9.4M.

Gladbach and Frankfurt are also having a very fair pricing for a 29% and a 26% probability and could almost be insider tips in this tournament, as most of the focus could be on Munich, Leverkusen and Dortmund.

Freiburg, Bremen and Wolfsburg all have fair prices for their 13%-14% probabilities in the offensive, without one team standing out.

Players

Now i want to introduce you some interesting players for this tournament.

M. Hinteregger (Frankfurt / 9.1M) DEF

Similar to Kai Havertz in the last preview, Hinteregger is almost a boring choice here, but a selection of interesting players for this Tuesday would not be complete without him.

As a central defender he has scored an incredible 8 goals and 2 assists so far this season and Frankfurt has a very solid chance of not conceding a goal anyway.

K. Bellarabi (Leverkusen / 12.0M) MID

Bellarabi is playing a good season with 4 goals and 8 assists so far in only 1332 minutes of play.

In the last 3 league games Bellarabi scored 1 goal and 4 assists.

Another advantage is that he is listed as an offensive winger in midfield at Fanteam.

Should he not play, we probably have Bailey or Paulinho thanks to the safety net, which would be absolutely fine, too.

Because i think by far the biggest focus at Leverkusen this weekend will certainly be again on Havertz.

A. Plea (Gladbach / 12.0M) FOR

Against the by far weakest home team in the league, Werder Bremen, who only scored 5 points at home, I must also mention a striker from Gladbach.

My choice is Plea, who has scored the most goals (9) and assists (8) for Gladbach so far.

Bremen has lost the last 7 home games in a row with an incredible goal ratio of 2:19 goals.

Against good opponents, there were always clear defeats at home for Bremen: Leverkusen won 4-1, Dortmund 2-0, Hoffenheim 3-0 and Leipzig 3-0.

E. Haaland (Dortmund / 9.8M) FOR

I also have to mention Haaland from the top match between Dortmund and Munich.

There is not much more to say about Haaland’s offensive qualities, in only 692 Bundesliga minutes Haaland scored incredible 10 goals and even scored 3 more assists.

His price of 9.8M looks pretty good, as Dortmund has a very solid 21% probability to score at least 3 goals against Munich.

But the game against Munich is also very interesting from the table situation, to take offensive players of Dortmund into account.

After this matchday there are only 6 more matchdays left and without a win for Dortmund the chances of winning the championship against these consistently strong Munich players would realistically be very slim.

So, I see this match almost like a second leg of a KO round.

Dortmund has to go for the win, a draw would feel like a defeat, because the direct qualification for the Champions League is guaranteed for all top 4 teams of the league anyway.

But the championship could be decided on this matchday on Tuesday in Dortmund, and i think Dortmund is very aware of this.
