Monster Preview for the €25K GTD Thursday Triple Stack

Weekly Monster Preview EPL GW31: Tonight at 19 o’clock (CET) the next big tournament starts on Fanteam for the Premier League.

25.000€ are guaranteed and the buy-in per team is only 20€.

But now after a small explanation about the Pursuit Format we go directly to the preview of this big tournament!

Pursuit

This 25.000€ tournament will be played in Pursuit format again. This means that there will be no budget problems, but at the end of the tournament you will receive bonus points the more budget you have left.

More precisely, there are 0.4 points for every 1 million in budget that is left at the end.

So it can be worthwhile if you attach special importance to value for your money, while building your teams.

Overview

This Thursday we see the starting lineup of 2 of the 3 encounters.

Only the top match Chelsea against Manchester City will kick-off at 21:15 (CET).

So it is a little disadvantage to concentrate especially on this game, this should always be considered, especially with the rotation style of Pep Guardiola.

But even Chelsea’s line-up in such a tough match is not easily predictable.

Now let’s take a deeper look into all the 6 teams of this tournament:

Rarely is Manchester City just such a close favourite with 53% and Watford rarely has such a high score of 40% on a win.

In contrast, Chelsea rarely has such a low probability of 23%.

The 4 teams in the middle are very balanced with chances of winning between 30% and 40%.

Let’s take a closer look now at the defensive and offensive of both teams, also in connection with Fanteam’s average prices for the expected line-ups.

Defensive

Watford is clearly the most interesting team on the defensive. They have the highest probability of a clean sheet and cost on average only 7.2M.

Manchester City is very expensive.

I would prefer Burnley to Southampton and Arsenal, but Chelsea’s low price is not enough for me at only 16%.

Offensive

City outperforms the other teams with 27% probability to score at least 3 goals, but on the one hand this is a very small value for City on average, on the other hand 12.3M is also a very proud average price.

Opponent Chelsea could even be an interesting risk pick in the offensive.

Apart from Burnley, all other 3 teams are certainly an option.

Players to watch

B. Forster (Watford / 7.5M) GK

What a great prize for the Watford goalkeeper, only 7.5M with the highest clean sheet probability today of 32% and still he will get a few shots on goal, what more could you ask for?

Because let’s not forget: every saved shot on goal scores Forster 0.5 points on Fanteam.

T. Abraham (Chelsea / 7.8M) FOR

Of course, Chelsea players are all risk picks this Thursday as they play Manchester City.

But for 8.3M I still have to mention Abraham here.

He has already scored 13 goals and 4 assists this season in only 1955 minutes of play.

Manchester City is not invincible in the defense, they already have 31 goals (10 more than Liverpool).

Instead of Abraham, Giroud could also play as a centre forward, but on the one hand we have no problem with that thanks to Safety Net, on the other hand Giroud has been in great form lately and scored 3 goals in the last 4 games for Chelsea.

As most of them will probably go to Manchester City, the ownership of Chelsea will probably be very low.

D. Ings (Southampton / 10.4M) FOR

The centre forward from Southampton is my first choice on the offensive. On the one hand Southampton has a solid 18% chance of scoring at least 3 goals, on the other hand Ings has the highest probability of scoring a goal this Thursday with 47% (see table below).

For 10.4M you can’t go wrong there and you have a great striker who has already scored 16 goals this season.

Only Aubameyang (17), Salah (17) and Vardy (19) have currently scored more goals.
