Esports Preview CSGO CS_Summit 6 26/06

The CS:GO world is currently watching the cs_summit 6 tournament and as there is a big tournament on FanTeam again, I will give you a preview on today’s slate. The tournament will give teams RMA points in order to qualify for the next major, so it is nothing but important for the teams.

While you might think the competition looks quite low for an elite tournament like this, this is because today’s matches will all be the loser bracket of each 4 groups, meaning every team playing today has lost their first match.

The first two matches are starting at 15:00 CET.

The buying for today’s tournament is 10,00€ and there is a guaranteed prize pool of 10,000€, with 2.000€ for the first place alone. Next to it there is also a 1€ tournament and a 200€ tournament for the highrollers today.

As the CS:GO tournaments will be played in Pursuit Fashion, which means that cheap players receive more additional points,it would be wise not to disregard cheap players as some of them might give you the edge over other players due to their bonus points.

To make sure you can take advantage of this we focus on the best value plays in these articles.

Today’s matchups are the following:

Looking at the players these are my top picks for today. In the following I will explain why I like them the most.

FATE vs Movistar Riders 15:00 CET

You might not know the first two teams that battle for survival in the early matches. While the Spanish Movistar Riders are some kind of veterans in the scene the Bulgarians of FATE have never appeared in the pro scene before.

All in all the odds are even and that’s all that matters in such case. I personally favor FATE as I think more people know Movistar Riders so the ownage will be lower.

Looking at the players, it is clear cut that h4rn is the star player of the team and he definitely has captain potential. Though, from what I have seen blocker and Patrick, especially the first, have huge potential to be on the top side of the scoreboard as well. You will definitely go with a lower ownage with both of them so you might give it a try.

The Movistar Riders are a balanced team. The firepower isn’t on a high level on the team and so you should not be surprised about anyone in the team being the top fragger.

alex is the top fragger the most times out of everyone, so he technically is a good pick. On top of him I like lowel. The AWPer has had a successful career as he played for mousesports for example. He definitely has the skillset to win this matchup on his own so I take him into consideration.

fnatic vs mousesports 15:00 CET

The other midday matchup definitely is the highlight of the day. What could have bin an elite tournament final some months ago is a lower bracket battle for survival today.

fnatic has had some ups and downs during the online phase of CS:GO while Mousesports just had straight downs. Following this fnatic are the slight favorites but I wouldn’t count anyone out here.

As exciting as the matchup is, as boring are the players I can mention you in this matchup. It is quite obvious who is expected to be at the top of the scoreboard, especially in close matches. Brollan, ropz and woxic should be your captaincy options in this match, as these 3 were able to somehow maintain their form and are some of the more skilled in this matchup.

Krimz and Frozen are prime examples who were top fraggers for teams before CS:GO was forced to move online but are now struggling a lot. Surely this has a reason, but if you get the day where they are able to perform again a big event like this could be great.

The opposite of the just mentioned players would be flusha, who was able to step up his game a lot in the last couple of weeks.

x6tence vs ENCE 18:00 CET

Under usual circumstances this should be an easy match for Ence. Though, the event is sponsored by Valve, the publisher of CS:GO, which means Jampii isn’t allowed to play at this event as he has banned for cheating as he was 12 years old. Stepping in is the old teammate xseven, who is much weaker in terms of individual skill.

Ence should still be the favorite here by far, as x6tence is just not as good as a team.

While Allu should be considered as a captain, I am quite sure either sunny or sergej will step up massively as well today. Support for Allu is needed and it will probably be one of them. Sunny has had the better form the last weeks and is priced at just 10,6 million, so he is my favorite player to pick next to Allu.

If you want to predict an upset, which is certainly possible, you will have a hard time finding the right players. HECTOz , who joined them just recently has been performing outstanding. Though, the unknown player has done it against much weaker teams so we cant be sure if he will be able to replicate it against a team like Ence. A pick I really like is refrezh. He is a really skilled rifler and might not be known by too many, so definitely get him into your x6tence stack.

FaZe vs Heretics 18:00 CET

The last match of the day is the most clear one. Odds wise, but also in every other aspect. FaZe been winning basically everything but against BIG since adding Bymas while Heretics isn’t really established in the scene, which they showed yesterday against OG.

I don’t see a world where FaZe loses this as this is a skill difference of worlds.

If you still want to go with Heretics you have the advantage that it is almost guaranteed that Nivera and Maka will be at the top of the scoreboard after the match.

On the FaZe side it is much harder to call who will be at the scoreboard after the match. It is unlikely that it is rain, as he is a passive player so he wont have more impact against weaker teams than against better teams. Broky has been solid but never managed to be the highest rated FaZe player. There are just 3 players left, where off NiKo and coldzera definitely are the most obvious ones. Bymas on the other side won’t be picked often, but I really think he can be an insane pick today. 9,9 million is a fair price tag so I am looking forward to see what he can do.

If you have any questions regarding the players I chose or the format, you can reach me on my twitter @_thaics. Furthermore,

Good luck and Have Fun!
