Today at 17:00 (CET) there will be a tournament on Fanteam with guaranteed 20.000€.
The following two matches are included in this tournament:
The good thing is: we will see the starting formations of all 4 teams before the tournament starts.
The special thing about this tournament is that the first game, Leicester – Chelsea, is from the FA Cup and the second between Watford and Southampton is from the Premier League.
But now after a small explanation about the Pursuit Format we go directly to the preview of this tournament!
This 20.000€ tournament will be played in Pursuit format again. This means that there will be no budget problems, but at the end of the tournament you will receive bonus points the more budget you have left.
More precisely, there are 0.4 points for every 1 million in budget that is left at the end.
So it can be worthwhile if you attach special importance to value for your money, while building your teams.
In this special tournament with a mix of league and cup, a very balanced picture emerges. The 4 teams have chances of winning between 31% and 40%, in other words: it’s all in today.
Also the to score probabilities are all in the 70s range, from 70% to 76%.
Let’s take a closer look now at the defensive and offensive of all 4 teams, also in connection with Fanteam’s average prices for the expected line-ups.
Defensive & Offensive
On the defensive, Watford seems to be just ahead in terms of value for money for me. 7.2M is a very good price for 30% clean sheet probability.
But none of the 4 teams is too expensive and choosing the right defense for this tournament is not that easy.
In the offense it is even tighter for me.
Especially because in the FA Cup it could be that some players are rotated and this would of course influence the average price at Fanteam.
With Chelsea in particular, there will probably be some changes in the whole team.
But also an Ings from Southampton could get a break and that would lower the average price.
Players to watch
K. Schmeichel (Leicester / 7.4M) GK
The Leicester goalkeeper is a big reason why Leicester has conceded only 29 goals in 31 matches in the league. Only Liverpool has a better result (21).
Of the 4 goalkeepers today he is also the cheapest and therefore he is my choice.
He could also get some shots on goal against Chelsea and for every shot he saves he earns 0.5 points extra on Fanteam.
T. Abraham (Chelsea / 9.3M) FOR
On this FA Cup matchday the time has finally come for Abraham to come back into the starting eleven.
He has already scored 13 goals and 4 assists this season in only 1955 minutes of play.
For 9.3M he is a good pick for me because with Chelsea’s likely line-up there will be a lot of focus on him on the offensive.
Also, Chelsea has the highest probability of all 4 teams to score at least 3 goals today.
We wish you best of luck in our tournament. You can enter the event here.
