Monster Preview for the €50K Premier League Main Event (€7,5k 1st place) July 1st at FanTeam.com

This Wednesday is the next big tournament Weekly Monster Preview EPL GW32 on Fanteam.com.

The Premier League Main Event in England is guaranteed to be €50,000 and the first place will win €7500.

Each team for this tournament will cost only €20 of buy in

But now, after a short explanation of the Pursuit format, we go directly to the preview, have fun.

Pursuit

The €50K tournament this Wednesday will be played in Pursuit format. This means that there will be no budget problems, but at the end of the tournament you will receive bonus points the more budget you have left.

More precisely, there are 0.4 points for every 1 million in budget that is left at the end.

So it can be worthwhile if you attach special importance to value for your money, while building your teams.

Overview

Since all 3 matches will start at the same time on this Wednesday, we will see the starting line-ups of all 6 teams before the tournament starts.

But let’s take a closer look at the 6 teams in this tournament:

Arsenal is the big favourite this Wednesday. They’re playing the bottom-ranked Norwich at home. So, naturally, Norwich is the big underdog.

In the other two games it is very balanced, all 4 teams have a probability of winning between 30% and 38%.

Now we look at the defense and the offense of all 6 teams today.

Fanteam price means the average price for the expected line ups.

Defensive

Except for Norwich, the other 5 teams have a fairly high clean sheet probability of at least 26%.

From the average prices on Fanteam, I find Bournemouth and Newcastle most interesting at 34% and 28% respectively. Arsenal is too expensive for me on defense with 9.3M.

Offensive

In the offensive, Arsenal seems interesting to me despite an average price of 12.5M. Because 34% is a very high probability to score at least 3 goals.

The other 5 teams have a maximum of 14%.

Everton is too expensive for me with 9.6M, just like Leicester with even 9.9M.

Bournemouth and Newcastle seem to me to be the most reasonable cheaper alternatives besides Arsenal.

Players to watch

Now i want to introduce you some interesting players for this tournament.

M. Dubravka (Newcastle / 7.0M) GK

7.0M for a good goalkeeper from a club with a clean sheet probability of 28%, much more is not possible for Fantasy Soccer and therefore Dubravka is a great choice for me.

Newcastle didn’t have that many goals to concede this season (42) and yet Bournemouth will certainly have a few shots on Dubravka’s goal. And every deflected shot will add an extra half point to our team at Fanteam.

N. Ake (Bournemouth / 7.8M) DEF

Ake is the head of defence at Bournemouth and for me a very good choice for 7.8M. Not only does Bournemouth have by far the highest clean sheet probability of 34% after Arsenal, Ake is also dangerous in the offensive. He has already scored 2 goals and 1 assist this season.

In addition he has only seen 1 yellow card so far in this season, which is a great value for a central defender in 25 league games.

N. Pepe (Arsenal / 12.8M) MID

Pepe is again one of those players you wish for Fantasy Soccer. As a very offensive wing player he is listed on Fanteam in midfield. This means that every goal he scores is bringing us more points and Clean Sheet also gets something, unlike strikers. And Arsenal has a 42% chance of CS.

Opponents Norwich are probably the worst team in the league, away they have a disastrous 1-3-11 record with 6-26 goals and are likely to be relegated.

I see a good chance that Pepe can score some points in this home game for Arsenal.
