This Wednesday there will the next big tournament on Fanteam.com.
The Premier League Main Event in England is guaranteed to be €50,000 and the first place will win €7500, so same as always.
Each team for this tournament will cost a buy in of only €20.
But now, after a short explanation of the Pursuit format, we go directly to the preview, have fun.
The €50K tournament this Wednesday will again be played in Pursuit format. This means that there will be no budget problems, but at the end of the tournament you will receive bonus points the more budget you have left.
More precisely, there are 0.4 points for every 1 million in budget that is left at the end.
So it can be worthwhile if you attach special importance to value for your money, while building your teams.
Weekly Monster Preview EPL GW34 Overview
This Wednesday we will see the starting lineups of 3 of the 4 games before the tournament on Fanteam starts. Only Brighton against Liverpool will start later.
But let’s take a closer look at the 8 teams in this tournament:
Manchester City is the clear favourite in this tournament with an 86% probability of winning. Accordingly, Newcastle is the big underdog, with only 4%.
Liverpool is not the clear favourite by their standards with 62%.
The other two matches are quite evenly matched, with both favourites there having 45% and 48%, and their opponents having 24% each.
Now we look at the defense and the offense of all 8 teams for this Sunday.
Fanteam price means the average price for the expected line ups.
6 of the 8 teams have a CS probability of at least 22%, only the opponents of Manchester City and Liverpool will have it very difficult not to concede a goal.
Of the average prices at Fanteam, Manchester City and Liverpool are clearly too expensive for me and Wolves, as well as West Ham and Sheffield are my clear favourites.
All 3 teams have a very fair average price with good value for money and very solid CS probabilities of 42%, 35% and 27%.
Burnley is also worth mentioning with 22% and an average price of 5.6M, Brighton and Newcastle probably not.
Looking at the offensive, Manchester City towers above everything with 59% probability of scoring at least 3 goals. In return 15M as an average price on Fanteam is very realistic.
In comparison, Liverpool with 32% and almost 14M seems a bit too expensive.
West Ham could be a price tip with a still solid 18% probability and 9.2M as the average price.
Players to watch
Now i want to introduce you some interesting players for this tournament.
L. Fabianski (West Ham / 7.8M) GK
With Fabianski as goalkeeper on Fanteam we have again a very good value for money.
A 35% chance of a CS is a lot for a team like West Ham and 7.8M for Fabianski is more than money well spent.
Opponent Burnley has only scored 37 goals in 33 games so far this season, away only 15 goals in 16 games.
M. Doherty (Wolves / 8.3M) DEF
For me Doherty makes a lot of sense this Wednesday and is my favourite pick for defence.
8.3M is extremely fair as a prize, considering that only Manchester City has a higher clean sheet probability than Wolverhampton.
But Doherty is also often dangerous on offense, too and has already scored 4 goals and 3 assists this season.
In addition, he is very fair as a defender and has only seen 1 yellow card so far in this season.
P. Foden (Manchester City / 13.8M) MID
It is very important, but also unfortunately rare, to see the line-up of Manchester City before the respective tournament is starting on Fanteam begins, as Pep loves to rotate his lineup.F
Fortunately, this time it is the case and this is a great advantage for us.
Because on the offensive side, City is probably the game changer for this tournament.
My choice in the offensive is Foden, he made a great game with 1 goal and 1 assist in the 4-0 win against Liverpool and played through 90 minutes.
At the 0-1 defeat against Southampton he sat on the bench and was only substituted.
I expect him back in the starting eleven this time and then he is a very good choice for me with 13.8M.
So Sterling costs 15.1M, Mahrez 15.2M and De Bruyne even 16.0M and because of the Pursuit format we get more bonus points and probably a lower ownage as well.
Foden scored 4 goals and 2 assists in 579 minutes of play this season for Manchester City in the League, and 2 goals and 2 assists in 186 minutes of play in the Champions League.
This was the Weekly Monster Preview EPL GW34. I hope you enjoyed my preview & good luck in this tournament.
