All you need to know in the Weekly Monster Preview
On this Sunday there is the big final in England with the last matchday of the Premier League.
For this special occasion Fanteam is organising a huge Weekly Monster 100k tournament where the winner will win €20,000.
Each team for this tournament will cost a buy in of only €20.
But now, after a short explanation of the Pursuit format, we go directly to the monster preview, have fun.
What is Pursuit?
The €100K tournament this Sunday will again be played in Pursuit format. This means that there will be no budget problems, but at the end of the tournament you will receive bonus points the more budget you have left.
More precisely, there are 0.4 points for every 1 million in budget that is left at the end.
So it can be worthwhile if you attach special importance to value for your money, while building your teams.
€100K Premier League Finale GW38 Overview
The good thing about this big tournament is that all 10 games are parallel and start at 17:00 (CET). Therefore we see the starting line-ups of all 20 teams and don’t have any bad surprises.
But let’s take a closer look at the 20 teams in this tournament:
Weekly Monster Preview EPL GW38
Manchester City is the huge favourite on this Sunday.
But that’s no surprise, as they will be playing at home against relegated bottom-ranked Norwich.
Liverpool and Tottenham are also clear favourites with 69% and 63% respectively, after that it gets tighter, 7 teams have a probability of winning between 42% and 53%.
Clear outsiders are only Crystal Palace with 15%, Newcastle with 12% and Norwich with a sad 2% probability for a win.
Now we look at the defense and the offense of all 20 teams for this Sunday.
Fanteam price means the average price for the expected line ups.
The best Defense on this Sunday
Manchester City has a high 56% probability of not conceding a goal, for the same average price as Liverpool they seem to be the better choice here.
Apart from Liverpool, no other team is really expensive in terms of their probability of a clean sheet compared to their average prices at Fanteam.
The best Offensive
Manchester City has an incredible high probability to score 3 goals of 72%. For that 16.0M is a really good price, especially compared to Liverpool or Tottenham.
Manchester United seems rather expensive with 10.3M, otherwise there are no surprises, Arsenal seems interesting with 27% and 10.6M, but also teams like Everton, Aston VIlla, Southampton and a few others are looking good.
Players to watch EPL GW38
Now i want to introduce you some interesting players for this tournament.
K. Arrizabalaga (Chelsea / 8.5M) GK
The goalkeeper of Chelsea is a very good choice for me with a price of only 8.5M and a clean sheet probability of 35%. Only 3 teams have a higher clean sheet probability.
Nevertheless Kepa will surely get some shots on his goal from the Wolves and every defended goal shot will bring us 0.5 points on Fanteam.
S. Aurier (Spurs / 9.8M) DEF
Aurier is a very offensive full-back and especially on this matchday he will probably be at the front of the offensive very often. Tottenham needs a win to get in front of the Wolves and into the EL qualifiers.
The opponent Crystal Palace has lost the last 7 matches in a row and has probably already given up this season.
Aurier has already scored 1 goal this season and assisted 5 more, in the Champions League he also scored 1 goal and assisted 2 goals.
Tottenham also has a high 40% clean sheet probability, only 1% less than Liverpool.
Aurier also forms a very good trio with the two offensive players H. Son (12.8M) and H. Kane (13.0M).
R. Sterling (Manchester City / 16.5M) MID
Sterling is the most expensive player in the whole tournament with 16.5M, but still he is a very good choice for me.
City has an incredible 72% probability of scoring at least 3 goals, Sterling has a very high 57% probability of scoring a goal, even though he is listed as a midfielder for Fanteam and therefore earns more points than a striker (as G. Jesus for example).
D. Ings (Southampton / 10.7M) FOR
Ings has an outstanding price-performance ratio this Sunday.
But let’s have a look at this table of the players with the highest probability to score in this 100k tournament:
A to score probability of 49% is a very good value at a price of only 10.7M.
Also P. Aubameyang with 51% and 11.8M is certainly a good choice in this context.
Best Goal scorers
The Monster Preview EPL GW38 would not be complete without a look at the best goal scorers of the match day.
