Daily Fantasy Preview Europa League 05/08: On this Wednesday, after a few months, the Europa League finally continues.
Of course Fanteam has big tournaments again for the EL, beginning with the “Early” €20K tournament this Wednesday, which starts at 18:55 (CET).
The buy-in per team costs 20€ and the winner will take home 3000€.
But now, after a short explanation about Pursuit, we’ll go straight to the preview:
What is Pursuit?
The €20K tournament this Wednesday will again be played in Pursuit format. This means that there will be no budget problems, but at the end of the tournament you will receive bonus points the more budget you have left.
More precisely, there are 0.4 points for every 1 million in budget that is left at the end.
So it can be worthwhile if you attach special importance to value for your money, while building your teams.
Daily Fantasy Preview Europa League 05/08
The two matches in this tournament are second leg matches of the round of sixteen. The first legs have been played back in March, where Donetsk won 2-1 and Basaksehir won 1-0.
EARLY: Europa League €20K DD Overview
In some matches of the round of sixteen, the first legs were not played and therefore cancelled.
In these cases there will be only one match on a neutral place in Germany.
For example Inter – Getafe, which starts at 21:00 (CET) and can be found in the Late EL Tournament on Fanteam.
But let’s take a closer look at the 4 teams in this tournament:
EARLY: Europa League €20K DD: The Odds
Both matches are very close, as you can already see from the probabilities above.
The odds of winning are between 33% and 41%, so there is no clear favourite or underdog.
Between Donetsk and Wolfsburg goals are more likely to be expected than in the second match between Copenhagen and Basaksehir.
Now we look at the defense and the offense of all 4 teams for this Wednesday.
The best Defense on this early Wednesday
Fanteam price means the average price for the expected line ups.
As already mentioned above, fewer goals are expected in the match between Copenhagen and Basaksehir.
Accordingly, both teams have a high clean sheet probability of 31% and 30%.
It is interesting to note that both teams have very fair average prices on Fanteam on the defensive.
6.7M and 6.4M are a very good value for money compared to Donetsk and Wolfsburg.
Basaksehir’s goalkeeper is also my favourite with only 6.9M and a 30% CS probability.
The best Offensive on this early Wednesday
In the offensive Donetsk and Wolfsburg have of course the higher values to score at least 3 goals than Copenhagen and Basaksehir.
But Donetsk is too expensive for me, especially where they won the first leg away in Wolfsburg 2-1 and can now wait and see, because even with a 0-1 defeat, they would be in the next round.
Europa League Players to watch
Now i want to introduce you some interesting players for this tournament.
M. Günok – İstanbul Başakşehir – 6.9M
The goalkeeper of Basaksehir is my first choice. Basaksehir is very strong on defense and Copenhagen is not really strong on offense.
6.9M is therefore a great prize for me on Fanteam, Basaksehir has to defend 1-0 from the first leg, so Günok will certainly get a few shots on his goal, where every defended shot will give us 0.5 extra points on Fanteam.
E. Visca – İstanbul Başakşehir – 8.5M
Visca is the heart in the offensive of Basaksehir.
He is involved in almost every offensive action and for 8.5M he is a great pick here.
He is listed in midfield and therefore gets more points than a striker.
Visca has a strong 25% chance of scoring a goal against Copenhagen, but he is also way ahead on assists:
Only one player has a greater chance of scoring an assist in this tournament, M. Arnold (Wolfsburg).
But Arnold has a much smaller chance to score than Visca.
29% and 8.5M are very good values, especially compared to Marlos and Taison of Donetsk.
W. Weghorst – Wolfsburg – 8.5M
Wolfsburg lost the first leg at home with 1-2. This means that they now have to score at least 2 goals away in the Ukraine. Therefore, center forward Weghorst is my first choice here.
Also compared to Moraes, both are by far the most likely goal scorers in this tournament:
Weghorst is significantly cheaper, with almost the identical probability to score.
And also the starting position of Wolfsburg compared to Donetsk suggests that Weghorst is the better choice.
A cheaper alternative to Weghorst would be D. Ginczek with a price of only 7.0M at Fanteam, should he be in the starting line-up of course.
Also Ginczek still has a high 29% probability to score a goal.
