Fanteam again has a huge tournament to offer, with a guaranteed prize pool of 25.000€.

The buy-in costs only 20€ per team and the winner will receive an incredible 4.000€.

But now, after a short explanation about Pursuit, we’ll go straight to the preview:

What is Pursuit?

The 50K tournament this Wednesday will again be played in Pursuit format. This means that there will be no budget problems, but at the end of the tournament you will receive bonus points the more budget you have left.

More precisely, there are 0.4 points for every 1 million in budget that is left at the end.

So it can be worthwhile if you attach special importance to value for your money, while building your teams.

That’s why I love Pursuit! Interview with German DFS-Player Simmmen

UCL €25K Leipzig – Atletico Madrid: The Odds

The Champions League Daily Fantasy Preview 13/08 starts as usual with the odds of the matchday.

Champions League Daily Fantasy Preview the odds

For this second quarter-final in Lisbon, the chances of winning are very similar to yesterday’s Atalanta against Paris.

Same as Paris, Atletico is a close favourite with just over 40% probability of winning.

But Leipzig, like Atalanta yesterday, is far from being without chances, even for the bookmakers, and therefore they have 26%, so they win more than 1 out of 4 matches against Atletico.

Unlike the match yesterday, however, fewer goals are expected today. Even the favourite Atletico has only a 72% probability to score at least 1 goal.

The CS probabilities of both teams are correspondingly high and that makes the defenders at Fanteam more interesting for me today than they have been yesterday.

6.7M and 5.1M as average prices offer really good value for money with such high CS probabilities. I prefer Leipzig a tick better in comparison, especially the goalkeepers, where the goalkeeper of Leipzig 1.9M is cheaper than the goalkeeper of Atletico Madrid.

This earns us valuable bonus points through the Pursuit format.

Also in the offensive the average prices on Fanteam are rather cheap, but unfortunately also the probabilities to score at least 3 goals.

A probability of just 8% is for an usually in the offensive strong team such as Leipzig already a uniquely low value.

Players to watch

Now i want to introduce you to 2 interesting players for this tournament.

P. Gulácsi – Leipzig – 6.3M – GK

The goalkeeper of Leipzig is looking very promising here with 6.3M and his my first choice.

Leipzig has a high CS probability of 27% and thus even 3% higher than Paris.

Since there is no second leg, I don’t expect an offensive spectacle, which is rare with Atletico playing anyway.

The goalkeeper of Atletico costs almost 2M more, the goalkeeper of Paris even almost 3M more.

The goalkeeper of Atalanta is 0.5M cheaper than Gulácsi, but has only a CS probability of 14%.

M. Halstenberg – Leipzig – 4.6M – DEF

Even though the entire defense of Leipzig is a great choice for me for this tournament, Halstenberg outshines them all due to the pursuit format with an incredible price of only 4.6M.

This makes him the cheapest defender in the whole tournament and as I mentioned before: Leipzig has a solid CS probability of 27% therefore a 3% higher probability than Paris, whose cheapest defender costs 7.9M (!!) and therefore 3.3M more.

But Halstenberg can also convince in the offensive. In the Bundesliga he scored 3 goals and 3 assists for Leipzig in the past season.

In my opinion there can hardly be a better pick for the defense in Fantasy Soccer.
