Firstly, we will present important picks for every slate here in our blog to help you choose your team.
Players to watch
Let’s dive into the NHL Daily Showdown Preview 17/08. We have 3 games in this Slate but firstly, let me start by saying that you need to be aware of the news close to the start of the games because we still do not know the line ups and starting Goalies.
In addition, check the NHL Fantasy Strategy Guide if you are new to the game.
Jaroslav – Bruins – 8.3m
The Bruins seem to be in a very good shape and Halak is a main part of it. He has a very good amount of saves and a good defense in front of him.
Darcy Kuemper – Coyotes – 9.1m
Avalanche are the biggest favorite in the slate , according to Fanteam Sportsbook , and they are getting a ton of shots on goal. So , i am going to target the opposing Goalie and hope that he will get a lot of save points and – if we are lucky – win points also !
Dougie Hamilton – Hurricanes – 11.5m
I like Hamilton a lot and he projects to have the highest points for a defender on the slate. He averages 5.2 points per game since the restart and also is in the Power Play line. What’s not to like ?
Torey Krug – Bruins – 11.0m
Krug is in both 1st lines for the Bruins and i expect a dominant performance again tonight.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson – Coyotes – 9.7m
If you don’t want to pay up for the defenders, Ekman-Larsson is an excellent choice, averaging 5.4 points per game and has shown that he can contribute on both ends of the ice.
Brad Marchand – Bruins – 11.6m
I like the Bruins a lot tonight and my top choice as a one-off would be Marchand , if you do not want to stack the Bruins. He has been on fire lately and is the driving force behind the Bruins offense. Bergeron (11.4m) would be an alternative choice if you want to go there.
Nathan MacKinnon – Avalanche – 13.2m
He is expensive but he has the biggest chance to score multiple goals on the slate.
Taylor Hall – Coyotes – 11.2m
6.6 points per game and his team need to win, so they will be on the attack as much as they can.
Justin Williams – Hurricanes – 9.3m
If you want to go to a cheaper Forward , Williams is a good choice , since he just entered the 1L and could also be in the 1PP.
