NBA Playoffs Daily Showdown: Sunday 23/08
We will present important picks for every slate here in our blog to help you choose your team but firstly we will review yesterday’s slate and the winning lineup.
And the winner is …
gk17n, who managed to outlast his opponents, behind huge performances from James and Brogdon and a selection of Houston and Miami players. Excellent job and he got rewarded for it.
Players to watch
It is time now to dive into the NBA Playoffs Daily Showdown: Sunday 23/08 preview. As always, we have 4 games for tonight’s 10K main Slate but firstly, let me start by saying that you need to be aware of the news close to the start of the games because a lot of value can open up then. With that in mind, let’s get to our suggestions.
In addition, check the NBA Fantasy Strategy Guide if you are new to the game.
Fred Vanvleet – Raptors – 11.8m
One of the two Raprtos guards should be in your lineups. I will go with Vanvleet tonight but I cannot blame you if choose Lowry instead. The production of both of them is more or less the same.
Kemba Walker – Celtics – 10.2m
Liked him in the previous game and he delivered and I am going again to him tonight. It is going to be a close-fought game and the Celtics are going to need him.
Mike Conley – Jazz – 9.5m
Came back to the bubble and in 25 minutes, had 38.5 points. I do not expect tonight’s game to be a blowout, so we are going to see more minutes out of him and hopefully the same per-minute production.
Trey Burke – Mavericks – 6.9m
To be honest I like him even if Doncic ends up playing but either way, I am going to have shares of him. He has the green light to do whatever he wants when he is on the court and he is averaging 0.95 points per minute.
Caris Levert – Nets – 11.9m
He is averaging 1.1 points per minute in the series and I am hoping for a big performance out of him in tonight’s game, trying to keep his team from elimination. It is going to be difficult to get the win but all I am asking for is 40+ minutes out of him.
Seth Curry – Mavericks – 7.5m
His floor is around 20 points, which is nice but he has a high ceiling and that is what makes him interesting. The longer he stays on the floor the more he is scoring. Goes without saying, that if Luka is out, he is a lock.
Tyler Johnson – Nets – 7.4m
Out of all the backup guards of the Nets, I will choose Johnson. With Harris out of the bubble, he stepped up and had 30.75 points in 24 minutes. If you want, you can go with the more expensive, Temple (8.6m) or TLC (8.2m). One of them should have a good game.
Kawhi Leonard – Clippers – 15.2m
Let’s see if he will go less then 10% owned again tonight. Just as an FYI, he has 59.5/53.5/64.75 in the 3 games of this series.
Tobias Harris – 76ers – 10.9m
I do not believe that the Sixers are going to lose 4-0 and if this ends up being true, Harris would need to have big games.
Kristaps Porzingis – Mavericks – 13.5m
No Luka , Kristaps will have a party right?
Pascal Siakam – Raptors – 11.1m
Had his first 40+ game of the bubble 2 nights ago, I think he will go for 50 tonight.
Marcus Morris Sr. – Clippers – 8.4m
He has 33+ minutes and 30+ points in all 3 games of the series. He seems to have the same role, even with Harrell back, so I cannot see any problem playing him.
Joel Embiid – 76ers – 14.5m
53 points per game in the series and I just cannot see how he will not have at least the same, in what is a win or go home game for the 76ers.
Nikola Jokic – Nuggets – 13.3m
Nuggets will be fired up to get revenge for Friday’s beating and if they do, the main reason would be a big game from Jokic.
Jarrett Allen – Nets – 10.9m
As long as he is staying on the floor for 30+ minutes, he will be in my lineups and maybe we might be able to squeeze a big game out of him, in what seems to be the last game of the year for the Nets.
