DEFENSIVE STATS

GOALKEEPERS AND DEFENDERS

From the table above we can see that Tottenham are the only Premier League club to concede less than a goal per game on average, so by default the Tottenham defenders will be amongst the most expensive.

However, make no mistake when it comes to Liverpool this weekend, as their defenders sit at the top of the price list. This is due to match difficulty, and despite having a higher average conceded than a lot of teams, they face a team who statistically are less likely to score against them.

There are some interesting figures to keep an eye on, such as the relatively low numbers of Aston Villa and Crystal Palace (1.44 and 1.45 respectively), as these defenders come in cheap in comparison but have the capability to concede few goals and score some extra fantasy points which could help you win plenty of cash!

ATTACKING OPTIONS

In the table above, we have the average goals scored per game for each Premier League club:

As expected, the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham are right up there with the average goals scored per game this season. This will obviously make them the most expensive players and the ultimate way to score plenty of points.

If you look at Aston Villa, you can see they are 3rd in the table with over 2 goals scored per game on average. As you may know, players outside the top teams in the league tend to be much cheaper, so Aston Villa’s attackers could be a cheap way to score a lot of points this weekend.

Manchester City are found to be low down on this table, but as every Premier League fan knows, they can score plenty. Don’t let these lower average goals fool you, the likes of De Bruyne, Jesus and Sterling can score plenty of goals on their day and are not be overlooked.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

M. Salah (15.0M) – He has been Liverpool’s star man this season, scoring 9 goals in 10 Premier League games and providing 2 assists. This is a brilliant return, and this weekend he faces Fulham who on average concede the second most (1.91) in the league. All is in place for Salah to perform, making him a great candidate for your captain this weekend.

B. Chilwell (8.9M) – The English left back has enjoyed a brilliant start to his Chelsea career in the 2020/21 season. He has already managed to score 2 goals and assist a further 2 and is cheap for a defender of this output. Chelsea will play against an Everton side who have seen a recent drop in form, and I expect Chilwell to take advantage of this, meaning he is a great option to consider for your line-ups.

O. Watkins (8.3) – Ollie Watkins in on fire in his debut season in the Premier League. He currently has 6 goals in 9 games, along with 1 assist. Some of his goals include a hattrick against Liverpool and a brace against Arsenal, which shows he has what it takes to perform against the best. With the creative ability of Jack Grealish, I expect Watkins to score a good amount of points against Wolves, who recently lost 4-0 to Liverpool.
