GOALKEEPERS AND DEFENDERS
The table above shows the current clean sheet % odds in the Premier League. There are some surprises up at the top of that table which could provide a cheap way to a number of points.
The one that interests me the most is Brighton. As you can see they have the most chance of keeping a clean sheet this weekend, and take on Sheffield, who sit at bottom place. This would suggest that they are likely to keep a clean sheet and take the three points as Sheffield are finding goals hard to come by with only 7 this season.
Obvious options for easy points would be the usual Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City defenders who are all expected to win their respective games this weekend, and according to the odds, keep a clean sheet. These defenders are the expensive option but ultimately offer the highest chance at maximising your points this weekend.
Above is a table of the chance each Premier League team winning this weekend. At the top sit Man City, so by default this will mean their attackers are going to be right up there in terms of price.
When looking at it closer, I can see Brighton at 4th. This may be an alternative route to plenty of points with the likes of Neal Maupay (11M) and Danny Welbeck (10.5M) being their most expensive players. Their opponents, Sheffield United, have 17.55% chance of winning, so I predict Brighton to win this game with ease, and their attackers to cash in on some easy points.
Another interesting one is Aston Villa. Looking at that table, they have more of a chance at three points this weekend than, Spurs, Arsenal and Leicester. They will take on 19th place West Brom, who have just sacked their manager Slaven Bilic, so may be an option for some cheap points against a relegation threatened side.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
M. Salah (14.5M) – Once again, its Mo Salah who is the one to watch in my opinion. He just can’t stop scoring this season as he has now dragged his way to the top of the scoring charts with 11 goals in 12 games. Liverpool will take on Crystal Palace who have the second least clean sheets this season, so I expect Salah to capitalise and score. Due to this, he is my pick for captain going into this game-week.
O. Giroud (12.6M) – Olivier Giroud is on fine form at the moment for Chelsea and has fired his way to be Chelsea’s top goal scorer this season with a sweetly struck volley against Wolves. I expect Frank Lampard to stick with the Frenchman this weekend against West Ham, making him a great option for a forward this week.
P. Bamford (8.1M) – Leeds have a tough game this weekend, but that makes no odds to Bamford’s scoring ability this season. He has 9 goals in the league this season, even scoring against the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea, so I can imagine he is prepared for this weekend. At 8.1 he is a steal for your frontline, and I think he is going to guarantee points this weekend.
