Midweek Monster 26 Preview – Team of the Week Picks

Hello and welcome to Fanteam’s Team of the Week for the Midweek Monster 26! Here I am drafting a team that I think is capable of winning €5000 in the upcoming Midweek Monster!

Team of the Week

So the first team I’m going in with is Aston Villa. Great defensive numbers while playing against one of the worst attacks in the league while having not the highest price is a no-brainer for me. I’ll go with Targett and El-Mohamady and hope that they will link up with Watkins to get me some decent points.

Chelsea continues to play much better at the backline than on the opposite side of the field. While Liverpool players will definitely get in a lot of squads I want to try to play against them. Mendy can farm some points by saves while both Alonso and Mount can produce a goal – so even without a clean sheet, there is a good possibility to get out of the game with high points.

Spurs is my third team. Bale was one of the best picks last week with only 13% teams who owned him. I don’t see a reason why we should stop – and while Welshman and Harry Kane will be highly owned players, I want Lamela as my new differential. I believe that we can see Dele playing in starting 11 and both him and Eric are going to have very little %. Thinking about Safety Net and going with Argentinian. Beware – this is kinda risky because there is still a chance that none of them will feature – I just want to hit that low-owned player who can produce a lot of points.

Last team I’m turning my head to is Manchester City. We have enough for KDB and Aguero. I think that Gabi Jesus will start the game but don’t want to risk it here – good thing we have the Safety Net feature so why shouldn’t we use it, right? Also I highly rate likes of Foden who played only 25 minutes in the last two games. With fresh legs he can give us a great boost while also having Mahrez and Silva who can replace him.

Captain: I want to risk it all and go with Lamela. Kane will be my safe choice as Vice-Captain.
