Hello and welcome to Fanteam’s Team of the Week 27! Here I am drafting a team that I think is capable of winning €7500 in the upcoming Weekly Monster!
One Gameweek with prizes, the next one – without. And it lasts for 4 weeks. Not the best but promising run, especially if this time it has to be a ‘prize-time’. Jokes aside, let’s roll!
Two teams I trust the most here are Spurs and Man City.
Mourinho’s side started showing some progress when the Portuguese deployed more attacking squad on the pitch. Reguillon is back – him and Aurier are definitely the biggest threats from the back. And I want to go with Moura as a joker – I want to risk a bit and hope it will work out thanks to Brazilian being in his best run since start of the season with 2+1 in the last five games and two shots per game (third after Kane and resurrected Bale). May switch to Bergwijn-Dele if some of them is going to start while Lamela also had a nice cameo against Fulham.
Man City is great choice for me and there are two reasons for that.
First – The Citizens have a 15 win streak in EPL. Second – Man Utd looked exhausted in the last two games. Yes, they’ve kept two clean sheets but The Reds should thank Palace and Chelsea for not scoring rather than it was a good performance from Ole’s lads. The attacking side of the game was even worse with only 1 player having more than 0.2 xG (Greenwood with 0.21). Moreover, big games aren’t the best side for Man Utd this season scoring only 1 goal against Spurs in THAT 1:6 loss. Yes, this is a derby, and yes, everything can happen. But I guess it’s a good value risk – I’ll go Ederson + Cancelo backed by KDB here.
West Ham has a good run – the Hammers lost only to Man City in the last 5 games keeping a clean sheet in 3 of them. Leeds may be scary and may be toothless – I believe in the second case here. Even if they can score, I hope Coufal may get the assist – that’s why I’m going with a safe Antonio pick here backed by Lingard who is in a high spirits after joining West Ham.
My last team will be Everton. Chelsea plays in a very careful manner but someday this has to be interrupted. The Toffees are getting results in the last games despite not showing the best performance so I hope they can turn it around against The Blues. When Calvert-Lewin costs 7.3M I just can’t resist. As for his partner I will go with a risky Doucure low owned option. High risk-high reward – remember it?
My captain will be Cancelo who can get a clean sheet and give me some attacking returns if he starts a game. Antonio seems like a good VC option not playing in the Midweek. Still have some thoughts so may be some changes here.
