As you can see from the image below, we’re giving away €3,000 in prizes to those FanTeam users that finish in the top 20 on the Leaderboard.
The top 2 will each win a €1,000 ticket to our €500,000 WCOFF (World Championship of Fantasy Football) tournament, which takes place in Gameweek’s 19 and 20 of the Premier League season and has a first-place prize of €100,000.
The remaining 18 places will win tickets to a WCOFF satellite qualifier, or a ticket to play in fantasy contests on FanTeam.
How the Leaderboard points are calculated
As mentioned above, the only thing you have to do in order to participate in the Leaderboard is to play in the selected €15 entry single-match Daily Showdowns on Fanteam, during the promotional dates between 20/11 and 30/11, 2021.
Let’s take a closer look at how your points on the Leaderboard will be calculated.
The user with the most profit (total winnings minus total buy-ins) in each €15 contest will receive the most points (1000). The user with the second-highest profit will score 750, and so on – all the way down to 30th (50 points).
Please see below a full breakdown of the points awarded for each of the top 30 positions.
What will be the scoring format of the Daily Showdown contests?
All single-game Daily Showdown contests will be played in our Pursuit 5 format. If you are new to this format, we have plenty of material to help you get up to speed.
Here are some strategy tips to help you get a better understanding of how Pursuit works:
- How to beat Pursuit 5 – Single Match Contests
- How to beat Pursuit 5 – Single Match Contests with many goals
- How to build my team for a close match, where both teams score
What is Pursuit?
Pursuit is the game format we are using for contests with a low number of matches (single or multiple matches).
In Pursuit, you can choose any player you like, without any budget constraint. However, every player is assigned bonus points, which are added or subtracted to the player’s total points before kick-off.
This means that star players can start at a slight disadvantage, while underdogs will give you points right off the bat.
Specifically, for these matches, the single-game mode of Pursuit 5 will be used. This means you can pick any five players from the contest you’re playing in – you even five players for the same team.
You need to also choose a Captain – he will score you double points, and a Vice-Captain that scores 1.5x points.
