DAILY FANTASY GOLF CHARLES SCHWAB CHALLENGE DAY 4

CHARLES SCHWAB CHALLENGE DAY 4 FANTASY PICKS

The world number one takes charge heading into championship Sunday. Scottie Scheffler continues to amaze me! Having missed the cut last week and suffering a small dip in form, the world number one finds himself at the top of a leaderboard again and will be going for his 5th win of the year.

Chasing Scottie down are Scott Stallings and Brendon Todd. Stallings could only post an even-par 70 in round 3 and will have to improve if he is to catch the world number one. Brendon Todd shot the round of the day at 5 under par in hard conditions and looks best placed to threaten Scheffler at the top. An exciting championship Sunday awaits and FanTeam has the perfect contest to keep us entertained.

FanTeam has created a Day 4 Charles Schwab Challenge contest for us to enjoy. €5 buy-in with a €500  prize pool. Contests start 29TH May, 13.25pm BST 14.25pm CET

WEATHER

The golfers certainly had it tougher yesterday as the wind got up. That wind is set to hit the course again today so might be worth considering when building lineups. The afternoon wave looks like they will get the worst of it, with sustained 20mph gusts. There is a chance for rain which could come at any point so I might just favor a morning stack again today.

ROUND 3 STATS

STROKES GAINED ON APPROACH

Colonial had the 14th most challenging greens to hit in regulation last year in part due to how small the greens are around here. Overall, close to two-thirds of all approach shots at Colonial will come between 150-200 yards so approach play is crucial this week.

  1. Colin Morikawa
  2. Kevin Na
  3. Joel Dahmen
  4. Charley Hoffman
  5. Scott Stallings

STROKES GAINED OFF THE TEE (DRIVING ACCURACY)

Colonial Country Club has ranked inside the top-eight in strokes gained off the tee difficulty in the last eight years. Over a large sample size, Colonial has proven to be one of the hardest driving courses on the entire PGA Tour so accuracy is key.

  1. Kurt Kitayama
  2. Sam Burns
  3. Austin Smotherman
  4. Adam Svensson
  5. Bill Haas

STROKES GAINED PUTTING

Players will not have to rely much on lag putting here due to the size of the greens and to be honest these greens are not all that difficult to putt on but I will be weighing in that ever-important 5-10ft range in my model again this week.

  1. Lee Hodges
  2. Brendon Todd
  3. Zach Johnson
  4. Dylan Frittelli
  5. Taylor Gooch

BOUNCE BACK SCORE

This stat is determined by using a golfers tee to green numbers and their putting expectation. In doing this we can determine golfers who should bounce back if they continue to hit their irons well and return to the putting baseline. Here are the top 5 from round 3.

  1. Denny McCarthy
  2. Sam Burns
  3. Chez Reavie
  4. Scott Stallings
  5. Matt Jones
